    Overpriced and outdated
    Not sure how Dyson justifies this price for an old technology. No smart integration, no way to enable night mode and turn off leds. In this case I can’t even say it’s ascetically pleasing with the bulky design. Other areas that need improvement is ease of filling up and cleaning. For this price point I expect things to just click in and out of place with out me having to wiggle things into place. I.e the rim needs to be 100% aligned or else it drips water. Not being able to control fan speed without the remote is also pretty poor. If this review was 5 years ago I’d maybe give the product 3 stars at most as It does not out perform other devices and is not a true Dyson design. In summary, given how home devices have developed this should now be in the museum.

    Works poorly compared to my previous Philips humidifier
    I've had this for about 3 weeks, and am about to return it as compared to my previous humidifier it has a much lower performance - it's also very cheaply made and I'm left asking myself why I spent such a lot on something which (i) does not work as well as my previous humidifier, and (ii) costs over 3 x as much.

    Mixed feelings
    We bought this humidifier when my son got a cold and this worked wonders. You wake up and your nose feels so clear and it stops your skin drying out. There is no doubt it is a great humidifier but it is very expensive and requires weekly and monthly cleaning. I have cleaned my humidifier exactly as Dyson advise and have had a replacement machine and a replacement water tank due to mould build up despite following the cleaning regime. I am now out of my guarantee and am having to do the monthly clean on a weekly basis and it still isn't keeping the mould at bay. So overall I think it is a fantastic machine, but I am disappointed that the cleaning regime doesn't keep the mould away, especially for the price the product costs.
