Sticker on my AM05 heat & air unit states that according to the state of California the unit contains chemicals that can cause cancer. When I asked Dyson to comment on these findings, I was advised that they didn't know the chemical and that if I wanted to know further to call the environmental safety office. That office confirmed this statement. I really don't feel safe using this product but I need the heat. Mankind appears to be killing us slowly one way or another. The environmental office said that harmful chemicals are in new cars etc. Just know that over the long term, this unit is damaging to your health. Disappointing.

In the middle of a cold night my dayson was set on 68. I was awakened to the smell of burning wires. The rest of the night was very cold.

I was so excited about my Heat/cool unit. My heater overheated and blew out my electric wall socket. It tripped my circuit breaker and blew out the lights in my house. This was after my second time using it. Each time I only used it for an hour. I thought I would love it and now I am scared to use it. I own the same unit with just the cooling feature and I love it and have had no problems with it.
