I purchased this product 3 months ago. I use it once a week. I have a colonial 2 story home. I find that the vacuum is extremely easy to use. It is light and has great maneuverability owing to the fact you are not dragging around a cord. Fully charged I can vacuum the entire lower floor consisting of a family room, kitchen, living room and dinning room on one charge. Same with the upstairs. It has great suction and really gets out the dirt. The accessories also do a great job of getting hard to reach areas and the dust that gathers around the base boards. That being said it has a major drawback. Cleaning out the machine is a tedious dirty job. The canister that holds the debris has a door at the bottom. Once opened it allows the dirt to drop into a waste receptacle. Unfortunately it doesn't work that easy. When first opened the accumulated dust comes out but the nap that comes off the carpet does not drop out because it sticks to the sides of the vacuum intake. You have to use a screwdriver or a pencil to scrape it off. It doesn't all come out. If you shake it the dust that comes out is overwhelming. You then must remove the canister and clean the intake. I literally have to use another vacuum to clean to around and inside the uptake duct. It takes longer to clean the canister than to vacuum the house. If you are the least bit sensitive to dust I suggest you wear a respirator or an industrial sized face mask. The laugh is that there is a removal filter that they want you to wash out every month. God forbid some stray dust would blow out whilst you vacuum. I then rinse the canister with water. I'd rather have an less powerful vacuum with a bag it's cleaner to operate.

I absolutely love this vacuum and have had it for several years. It is lightweight and very powerful. For the first time in my life, I actually enjoy vacuuming and it does not hurt my back! However, I really wish that there was an option to plug it in and continue vacuuming if need be. Sometimes, 20 minutes is just not enough. And, I always struggle attaching the canister back onto the base. I was told that this issue has been resolved with the newer models. Thank you Dyson!

I have had this for several years, and it is the best thing that ever happened to my cleaning routine. I can vacuum fast and easily!!! It doesn' hold a charge long because I always use it in max mode, but that's okay, because I am not tired of vacuuming when it quits. I can pull it out for a quick minute any time I want!
