I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THE DYSON AS I PREVIOUSLY HAD DUCTED AND THIS DYSON COMPARES VERY WELL.

We had an upright Dyson for about 7 years before it failed us completely, until then it had done a fine job, just difficult on the stairs so decided to get a cylinder DC47. The DC47 has no suction and basically didn't pick up very much at all. In fairness I did contact Dyson and complain very shortly after purchase about this and they sent me a turbo head, this seems a little better but again does not do a good job and it stops spinning constantly throughout and I have to turn it on and off to make the head spin again. Also cable not long enough for the stairs, so no benefit. It also turns over very easily and constantly standing it back up. I regret the day I bought it but because Dyson vacuum cleaners are extremely expensive we will not be able to replace it for some time yet.

I love the size & weight of my dyson I live in a 3 story house so this is fantastic.The suction when using the small tools is brilliant, but the main tool is useless. I hate using it fluff gets stuck on the red grippers instead of the suction taking it up the hole & into the actual machine!!! I have to vaccum a bit of carpet lift up the head remove any fluff stuck to the red grippers feed into the hole & up the tube then start the process again.which takes twice as long. This is the first Dyson product we have bought & I have to say am very dissappointed!!
