DC39 Great machine,light, does its job well ,however they should change the head because the wheels keep coming off in turn you have a lot off scratched floors, This is a problem that needs to be addressed.

This vacuum is well designed to follow as you move around the house. The one thing that's annoying is it gets caught by the side wheel on door frames if you don't center the vacuum perfectly to the door opening. I don't like the hose because it acts like a saw when it rubs against wood trim . I find damage on the edges of the trim where paint has been removed by the hose. My house is 60 years old so that my have something to do with the trim. This vacuum is amazing at how well it removes dust and contains it, not like my sears vacuum that would return the smallest dust back into the air. Cleaning out the canister is easy also I use a compressor to blow out the little turbines. I get a Hugh puffy of dust out of it every time I do this, outside of course. So I keep the vacuum as clean as I can after use.

I would not recommend this vacuum. I asked around and read the reviews before buying this machine. It sounded wonderful. It is light and it does maneuver well. The problem is, it pushes the grit that falls off from my dogs feet across the floor and scratches them. It also doesn't pick up the white stuff from the dogs stuffed toys, not even when it is a small piece. In my opinion the plastic on the bottom of the head needs to sit a little higher off the floor so that it can't push things.
