From parts falling off to a burning smell when turned on. I have requested a refund or a replacement.

When I purchased my Dyson Ball Animal Vacuum, I was so excited, after my first repair, one year later, I lost my faith in it. It just died last week. 5 years and 4 months old, totally out of warranty. The cost of this vacuum cleaner, it should have lasted forever, for the little work it did, hard wood floors/dog hair on furniture. I will never own another one, Dyson is over priced.

I've had this machine since 2013 and still use it. Love the technology, like the compactness, and have some suggestions: the floor brush tool has some abrasive wheel or tab on the bottom surface that lightly scratches my hardwood floor, forcing me to be very gentle when vacuuming the floors. Also, an On/Off switch on the long arm would also be very helpful instead of having to always turn it on and off at the base unit. Still very happy with it and haven't thought of any other vacuum.
