I cannot believe the difference between my Dyson and other machines. Trying to get pet hair off the rug used to be a one hour nightmare. Now 5 minutes later its done and looking fantastic! People actually ask me if I've got a new rug as it it unrecognisable from how it looked before. The whole house now takes 30 minutes to vacuum and I don't have to break my back doing it. The hard floor head is also a marvel, it sweeps as it vacuums and swivels so you can get into all corners. After owning a Dyson I would never consider anything else. I cannot recommend Dyson highly enough and if you don't have one, get one!

Functions very well but is noisy, heavy and dirty to empty

This is a great vacuum. The suction is fantastic. The only problem I have found is that it doesn't slide easily over my twist pile carpet and I feel I have to push it.
