the power cord seems to sure and cause the outlet it is plugged into to burn up. It happened to one of my wall outlets and to a surge protector Have not used it in over 10 months and I would not recommend to anyone

Purchased the rather high priced Hot + Cool Fan thinking it would server two purposes. One, as a cool air flow for sleeping during seasonal changes that did not require central air but just a little cook moving air to aid sleeping. I have COPD and cool, moving air is helpful for me to sleep. Second use was for warming my feet/legs during cold winters. I have peripheral neuropathy in lower legs and feet. Thought the duel use would be of benefit over the heating pad had used to ward off the cold limbs. The *hot* setting caused the electric circuits to shut down. Then, after the recall for *fixes* to the AM05, the temperature settings for heat no longer worked. But I still could use it for approximately 30 times per year for the cooling feature for sleeping when central air was too much. Pretty costly, considering can only use it for such a limited time each year.

I bought this back in Oct2017 and had been quite satisfied with the product with the heat feature so far as I bought it just before the extreme coldness hit Toronto. I had done my homework prior to purchase and aware of the slightly higher than normal noise level, so I had adapted to it in no time. No surprise (both positive & negative) after using the product.
