Overview
With 3kW of capacity this portable Dimplex reverse cycle aircon can reliably cool or heat smaller rooms of 20 square metres or less. It can also be used as a dehumidifier removing moisture from your home's air and helping to limit the growth of mould and mildew. And if your home is feeling a bit too dry the appliance can also be used as a humidifier thanks to its 3.6L water tank.
Simple to set up and maintain
While this aircon does use a self-evaporative system which means it doesn't require a drip tray or drain hose it does require its exhaust hose to be attached to a nearby window. A window kit is included to fit both sash and sliding windows.

It's an OK air conditioner
Bought it a couple of months ago leading up to the hot days and it's OK, nothing special and I think it would have been cheaper and more economical to buy and run a fan

Terrible and ineffective
I bought this for my new born's room. Whilst delivery and installation were quick and convenient, the price certainly was not an indicator of its quality. It is very loud and the heater cuts in and out every 10 mins, so loud that I can hear it when I lay in bed during the night and it continued to wake my baby. Also, it was very disappointing after paying more than $500 for a heater/AC that the $14 heater from Coles was more effective in heating the room.

Does the Dimplex DC10RCDH have swing function on its air outlet to circulate conditioned air? Steve B 23 · 2015-11-01

The air comes directly straight out of the unit and only has the horizontal vents which can be moved up and down.
