Panel heaters are commonly used in Europe, this type of heater is able to be used 24/7, oil and panel heaters are not designed for instant heat they will heat the room gradually and when using the thermostat at a comfortable temperature will maintain this heat, running cost is hard to work out depending on your service provider on how much you are paying per kilowatt and how long you have the heater running for each day.
