We bought this toaster 10 years ago in brushed stainless steel and it has performed wonderfully! We recently ordered the same toaster but now the finish states die-cast brushed aluminum. We are hopefully for the same performance, however the finish does not complement our other small appliances and does not look brushed.

Like many reviewers, after a couple of years the inner side of the heating element are not Like many customers, the inner elements are not heating at the same intensity as the outer elements giving very uneven toasts. The inner elements do work well in the Bagel mode. The Breville brand is not what it used to be but you are still paying premium price. Go get yourself something cheaper because this expensive toaster will not last.

We have this toaster and we love it. We bought a second one for my daughter and her partner and they are thrilled. It is easy to use and does a terrific job of toasting. What we love best is that it will do long slices of bread.
