This is the second one that we have had , because it is so good

I bought the red Breville Smart Toaster about 7-8 years ago. It is used everyday (family of 6). We have no issues with it and I am now looking for a new one so I can take my 'old' one to work and use it there - I love my toast! Electronic lift works well, it had a wee glitch a few months ago where it seemed to get stuck - but it just needed a good clean out (tray was full - I have 4 teens in the house!) and its been fine ever since.

It is indeed 'Smart'!! It can do a few things a regular toaster can't do...'Lift and look' feature allows you to check on the doneness...'Crumpet & fruitbread' button allows toasting in the middle only so your crumpet bottoms are still nice and soft! I expect fruitbread' doesn't burn on this function either but I havent tried that as yet. Another feature that I appreciate is that when it's finished toasting it raises the toast high enough for you to pick it up easily, unlike our previous toaster. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase!
