This has been our third toaster in 3 years. We assumed that a toaster in this price range might last at least the period of the warranty, but no. Perhaps manufacturers should consider making not-so-smart toasters. Of all the appliances in modern homes, you'd think the toaster would be the least troublesome, it only has one function, but in each of our last three toasters the same problem occurs - failure to toast evenly, and sometimes failure to toast at all. Just stop with the bells and whistles and snazzy settings, and have a simple mechanically operated unit rather than one which is controlled by a flimsy chip.

Cooks toast to perfection and toasting toast in this toaster makes the toast even taste better. I love this toaster.
