Toasts bread evenly on both sides. Bagel setting works well at the minimum time setting. Burns the bagel at longer time settings.

"Form" Who says you can't have both? This toaster is a true beauty. You just have to see it in person. It's a solid piece of die cast aluminum with the logo embossed in the front and feels heavy and strong. No special cleaners, just wipe it down with a damp microfiber cloth. No ugly push-down lever, the breads are lifted up and down automatically! The buttons on the top are a polished silver and don't show fingerprints. Each button has an LED light around the perimeter. The top part has a polished silver that sits inside the aluminum casing which wipes up easily to keep the top part of your toaster pristine. Great cord storage underneath so you counters look tidy. Now onto the "Function" part. Settings do exactly what they state and you can easily achieve the perfect level of brownness with the sliding selector. Everyone in our house likes various levels of darkness however we set ours a bit lower and if you like it darker just hit the "A Little Bit More" button which is a game changer. Simple concept but now I can't live without it. Bagels come out perfect! Other breads seem to do very well. Sometimes a small bottom section of the bread is a bit darker but this is the most even browning I have ever seen in a toaster. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for!

I always wanted a toaster like the one my mother had back in the 60’s. You put the tostadas in and it went down automatically and came up when it was toasted. This toaster does this, I love it. I’ve had it for 10 years, hard to believe, and it still looks brand new and works like a charm. When I have visitors at my house I get lots of compliments and inquiries as where to buy one. It took me a while to find this toaster but when I did I bought it and never looked back.
