I’ve just purchased this kettle, and after the very first use, rust appeared on the heating plate (see attached photos). This is unacceptable for a brand-new product. I’ve requested a full refund.

I bought this just over 1 month ago now and use it daily. It’s great and just typical Sage quality, its just lovely quality and finish, the way the tea basket lowers and raises as it steeps the tea is great and so effortless. Lots of options and custom setting as well. Remembers the last custom setting even when turned off at the plug which is nice. Very easy to clean too. There is a function to keep warm too which is great but every time you lift the kettle you do need to remember to press it again, I guess that’s just a safety feature. Overall very impressed with it.

I really love the tea maker. There are so many coffee makers but this is the only tea maker that allows you to make perfect tea and enjoy a 2nd or 3rd perfect cup. This is our 3rd sage tea maker as we broke the glass kettle on the 1st. So we have 2 bases, one for the kitchen and one in the bedroom which we set on a timer. The only drawback is we have to cover the LED overnight. Love it. The service from Sage was perfect, great delivery. I hope they continue to make this item.
