    The ceramic coated cooking bowl is built with 5 layers of durable and heat conductive materials for excellent results. You can preset the finishing cooking time in advance with the programmable digital timer with LED display. Other functions include fast cook, reheat and automatic keep warm. Clean-up is quick and simple with the easy open lid and removable parts.

    Breville Smart Rice Box - Excellent!
    While it has a wealth of smart options, and there are plenty of rice cooker recipes on the web, you can experiment. EG, I just made a chicken red curry soup, and actually sauteed the onions and celery etc before adding everything else - I just winged it and added what was left in the fridge, and some split peas and lentils - then set it on "Soup" and waited..... it is still cooking, and the smell coming out of the kitchen is amazing!! Recommend

    Makes rice pretty good.
    It does what it says it does. However I prefer my rice significantly less cooked. The brown rice I cook tends to lose all of the earthy and grainy qualities of its textures because it gets so overcooked. All rice comes out of the cooker overcooked. Soft to a point it more resembles bread than rice. Fortunately the quick cook option give the rice a slightly harder texture which is nice. I'm not sure I needed a rice cooker but it's clearly an excellently designed and quality product. I have absolutely no issues on a design or quality level, purely on a personal preference level.

    Bought this product to cook brown rice and found there is not much quality difference brown rice and quick cook options so prefer quick cook as it takes significantly less time. Only downside is having to disassemble the lid assembly for cleaning from time to time compared to glass lid rice cooker, but rice definitely tastes better. Note to breville that styrofoam packaging breaks apart and causes a big mess when first opened, maybe consider different packaging material...
