Just four weeks after the 12 month warranty expired and our kettle has also developed a crack in the lid window that is letting steam escape. Clearly this is a problem with this model that will never be addressed. During these economic times we decided to go cheaper after having 2 of the Breville Smart Kettles. Big mistake.
