I guess we bought a faulty unit, a hit and miss! Starts (maybe) then it pauses, then starts or it doesn't, who knows?! We have had it put away ever since we bought it, as we were both too busy to call Breville and get help. We probably have 10 of their small appliances, and this is the only one that turned out to be an expensive countertop decoration.

This was a replacement for a model bought at least 10 years ago! It was used daily, apart from holidays. Eventually, after all that time, the ‘handle’ on the tea basket gave way, allowing leaves to escape. We were delighted to find we could replace it - not good for SAGE’s sales but brilliant for us!

Have had for a few years and love it, and been very careful with it due to all the reviews of how fragile it is. However the carafe just recently cracked after rinsing it..
