I originally bought one and after a couple of months one of the elements became defective. It was replaced under warranty and the replacement toaster has been flawless and consistant with toasting and crumpets and fruit bread . You just have know which buttons to push to toast crumpets and fruit bread . the crumpet function has one of the elements get hotter to accommodate how you cook crumpets .( face the crumpets in as per instructions ) I have had this toaster for ten years and not one problem . I am astounded that it has lasted so long . It is used daily. If it ever needed replacing i would buy another one and would not consider any other model or brand.

This toaster is an absolute beast! I was so tired of toasters doing their one and only job so poorly. Burnt on the edges, not quite cooked in the middle, cooked one side and not the other etc etc. I am 65 and have seen a few toasters in my life from sunbeam through to de longhi but this one is without a doubt the best so far. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I don't usually bother with reviews but I really felt like this toaster deserved one.

I am unfortunately so disappointed with this toaster. We received one as a gift a few years ago. It broke down and in December of 2022 I purchased another one. After 1 year, the toaster short circuited and could not be used. Breville, as a goodwill gesture replaced it with a new one. After 2 years, this expensive toaster is tripping the power once again. When it worked, it toasted our bread. Great!! But that what it should do. Will not be replacing it a third time.
