This Breville toaster works very well and is just smart enough to not be confusing but unfortunately died after 3 years and needed to be replaced

This is an excellent toaster. I came across the 4 slice edition at a Resort's breakfast area. It coped well with the traffic and the Lift and Look button meant up to 4 people could use it at one time. Guests showed the finer point to each other. So I purchase the two slice version on my return. However, the written instructions, while mostly intuitive, are lengthy and repetitive. The use of a simple matrix would make life a bit easier. Also my instructions for the Crumpet/ Fruit button did not specify to push the button once for Crumpet and twice for Fruit Bread (The button goes dark blue.) I found this out by looking on the web at other toaster's instructions.

This is the second one that we have had , because it is so good
