    Great kettle

    Gorgeous on the counter
    Such a lovely looking kettle and because a it is one of the only appliances to grace my counter, looks are important. Works and pours beautifully.

    Quality and longevity is poor
    There is a quality and longevity issue with the Smart Kettle Luxe. Given the price point, this turns into a value for the money issue. My wife bought this kettle in November of 2023. A mere 21 months later, the kettle boils fine, but the lid no longer closes. We have to put a heavy cup on the kettle to keep the lid closed as it comes to a boil. This is a quality issue that definitely affects convenience and useability. Less than two years longevity might be acceptable for a cheap kettle, but not for a premium kettle at a premium price.

    Good Morning, Thank you for this product question, under normal cleaning this using a mild cleaning agent and a damp cloth will not affect the parts or labels, in the user manual page 6 they cover how to use and care for your new machine I'll attach this below: To prevent damage to the kettle, do not use chemicals, alkaline cleaning agents, steel wool or abrasive cleaners to clean the inside or outside of the kettle. Use a mild cleaning agent with a soft damp cloth. If this was a common factor with this item there would be a lot of comments by consumers that have this same item with the same issue, if this has come off due to a fault with the item best to chat with the supplier as they may need to look into this by calling them on 1300-139-798.
