I have owned this kettle for 3 1/2 years now, used multiple times every day, still working perfectly only needs basic cleaning.

I bought this kettle a few months ago to replace similar from Breville which we had for 20 years. It's fine except compared to the previous one it is very noisy. To the point where its not possible to be on a video call in the same area of the house if the kettle is on. We have to move it into the bathroom on such occasions. It really is that noisy which is disappointing because the old one had 'quiet boil' technology which was great.

I brought the Breville Soft Top Duel as an interim kettle as our old kettle broke. We were all surprised at how quiet this kettle is. We have a baby in the house at the moment, our old kettle (which was expensive and not a Breville) would wake the baby when it boiled. We can use the Breville Soft Top Duel with the baby sleeping in the lounge area near the kitchen without him waking up. Boil time, a full kettel of 1.7 Litres, time was 3 minutes and 55 seconds. The duel widows are a handy feature as well. We find it easy to fill and use. We have had the kettle for three weeks now, with four adults and two children in the house, the kettle is being used constantly and is performing excellently. Overall we are happy with this kettle and will keep it. For the price, this is an excellent little kettle.
