overall great but some annoyances. the power code is absolutely rage bait. it will not stay in place. if you breathe wrong it will fall off. magnets are not a practical attachment method. the fryer will overheat the oil if you're not careful so you really need to have a second thermometer to read the true temperature and not just the display which only shows the goal temperature once it's reached. i had it set to 375 for donuts and the oil started smoking. the true temperature was close to 400 which is dangerous. the basket is small so you can only fry a couple donuts at a time which leads to overheated oil. the fryer did an excellent job of frying mozza sticks, french fries, and donut holes and seems more suited to small bite size items. overall it's great. the oil basin is easy to clean. the machine is easy to assemble. the precision controls are finicky and complicated and took several attempts to learn. i wanted to love this as i am usually a big fan of breville but this particular model needs some engineering adjustments inspired by people who actually cook in real life.

This is a well designed appliance which ie easy to use, cooks well and is straightforward to clean.

It's easy to use and easy to clean. I just need a lot of oil, so I think it's better to use it when there's a lot of tempura or chicken wings.
