I bought one of the Crepe Creations many years ago, and I used it almost daily as a multi purpose flat top grill, doing everything from pita breads, tofu chunks, grilled sausages, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, Pizza (finished under the grill) - everything - including what it was designed for - pancakes. Unfortunately after many years it gave up the ghost and I've been unable to replace it in S. Africa, so I've joined the site to see if I can get a friend in Australia to buy a couple and send them to me. I do not accept 'empty stars' so the five stars are for: Quality of product. Ease of use. Ease of cleaning. Good variable temperature. And style. Hint: Put a close fitting dome with a small steam hole in it on this plate and use it as a warmer for breads, sitting on top of a round cake wire frame.

Got this machine for Mother's Day. Love it. Cooks perfect crepes and even small pike lets all quick and easy. Th only thing I don't like is they should have some plastic lid type cover to protect hot plate from getting scratched when in your cupboard or kitchen drawer I cover mine with tea towel. Only reason I give 4 stars. Breville should look into this.

For the very high price it takes quite a while to heat up. Also not as “non-stick” as I’d like. Need to add a little oil or butter to stop it sticking.
