I bought this machine 4 years ago. It's easy to use, makes great espresso and cappuccino, and looks good in the kitchen. However, it only lasted 4 years before the brewing, hot water, and steam functions died, and that's after meticulously maintaining it with flushing and descaling using Breville's products on the recommended schedule. At this price point, it should last longer than 4 years if well maintained.

Every cup of coffee is consistently amazing! I do give some credit to myself however most of it is this amazing machine. I had the breville barista express before, used it for 8 years before it gave up. The difference in the Pro as compared to express is very noticable! The Pro is easy to use with powerful extraction, the milk frother is great - takes less time to whip up a delicious cuppa.

We are pretty happy with the consistency of the coffee and the speed of the machine being ready for extraction. If I was to criticize something it would be the fact that machine vibrates quite a lot during the extraction. If you are in a rush and can't wait to watch the extraction being poured into the glass - it will likely slide out of place and part of the shot will go into the tray. Perhaps recessing section of the tray could prevent it so the cup can't move around?
