    Grind your beans into the 54mm portafilter, designed to hold 19 grams of ground coffee. This dosage is key to brewing balanced espresso. The machine’s ThermoJet heating system means heat-up takes a speedy three seconds. The automatic steam wand will texture milk for smooth, creamy results, allowing you to show off your latte art skills. Switching from espresso extraction to steaming milk is instantaneous, so you don’t have to wait around.

    Compact design

    This machine’s economical footprint means it can be integrated into any interior design. You also have more storage options for when you’re not using the machine, but a coffee hiatus sounds somewhat mythical, so you may never get to packing it away.

    Microfoam texturing

    Microfoam is steamed milk that is velvety smooth in texture, ideal for creating latte art. What you want is foam with small, even bubbles (unless you are trying to make a cappuccino). This machine’s 1600-watt element gives you adequate steam to create rosettes, hearts, and more. Microfoam will also enhance the overall flavour of your cup.

    Heats up in three seconds

    This machine heats up and is ready for brewing in just three seconds. You’ll be cupping your espresso in your hands before you can even self-diagnose a case of the Mondays.     The Bambino Plus - Great Little Machine
    I’ve had the Sage Bambino Plus for just over a month now and it was a replacement for my Duo Temp whose front panel buttons decided to give up. This is a marked improvement on the Duo Temp in terms of coffee quality. It’s very easy to use albeit quite a light machine so a certain amount of downwards pressure is required when inserting or removing the portafilter. I haven’t had to play around too much with water dosage as it worked straight off to my desired taste. However as some point or other I must have pressed some or of buttons for too long as the milk froth overflowed and overheated the milk. A factory reset soon resolved that though. The automatic milk frother is great too. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

    Great Machine
    My husband and I love the low profile and small it is to sit on our counter- it's space saving. It's pretty easy to use and a very smart machine- it has a tray overflow stop, will self clean the milk steam wand and is made out of great parts. The only thing, it is hard to get the portafilter into the machine- it's so new that you have to really put some power into it and I have to use my body weight to remove it. It is slowly losening up over time.

    I bought the Bambino Plus two weeks ago and am disappointed. Especially since it’s my second Breville and I loved the first one I had (different model). The handle is annoyingly tight and moves the machine each time I place it in or remove it. It’s been tricky finding the right espresso pull setting and each shot comes out bitter, regardless the of the bean used. The water reservoir is curved so much it causes the machine to take up quite a lot of counter space. The wet tray under the handle is awkward to clean. I think I’ll return this one, which is a bummer.
