I recently purchased this iron after my Tefal stopped heating up(only 2 years old) its great not as heavy as the Tefal or my previous Phillips, glides over the clothes with ease, love it.

Bought this iron two months ago to replace a very good 4 year-old Sunbeam which had, sadly, been dropped more than once. It arrived with a steam fault and Appliances Online quickly replaced it after I rang them - no hassle, no fuss. How does it iron? Beautifully. It glides almost frictionlessly. Cotton and linen shirts have sharp creases with minimal effort. Very comfortable to use. Does it justify its relatively high cost? So far, yes. Only time will tell how good it remains. (I now leave it on the floor when I move away from the board ).

Bought this iron a few months back after hunting around. Previously had a high end Philips that was OK but this iron I much prefer. Firstly, the grip is really really comfortable with a matt silicon sort of surface (I assume). It looks like it would be awkward to stand on its end but actually it stands perfectly fine. Water filling is nice and secure (unlike the Philips model we had). The weight is solid without being too much. Cord length is fine - not run into any issues there. The included clip on base plate for more sensitive fabrics my wife loves! An excellent feature that comes with the iron so big big tick there too. Fundamentally, a really great iron all round for what we use it for with good features. So far so great and would recommend this model from Braun to anyone.
