    Overview

The 80cm Serie 8 Induction Cooktop from Bosch delivers a superb cooking experience, with effective and innovative features.

The spacious cooking surface offers four cooking zones, including one FlexInduction Zone. This unique zone allows you to combine cooking zones into one large zone for multiple small pots or large cookware. Each cooking zone provides 17 power levels so you can get precise heating. There’s also a PowerBoost function which gives you rapid boiling or heating. Control everything effortlessly with the sleek touch controls at the front of the unit.

For added safety, a child lock will prevent accidental interference of the controls, and residual heat indicators will let you know if the cooktop is still hot to the touch. The elegant, attractive design of the cooktop made from black ceramic and stainless steel edges is easy to keep clean and adds style to any kitchen.
    FlexInduction

This flexible zone allows you to combine the cooking zone into one larger zone for placing multiple small pots or large cookware.

    Simple controls

Simply select your preferred cooking zone and increase or decrease the power level with the straightforward touch controls. This includes a PowerBoost mode for a short blast of high-intensity heating, as well as a timer that can automatically switch off your cooktop after a set period of time.

    Efficient induction heating

Because the induction cooking directly heats up the metal in your pots and pans rather than heating the four hotplates themselves, these cooktops are very fast, efficient and safe to use.

    Easy clean ceramic surface

Not only does the surface of this cooktop look great, it's also so easy to keep clean. Spills and splashes can be quickly wiped from the durable glass surface to keep your kitchen looking its best.

    Always read the instructions.
We have had an induction cooktop before, but never assume you know it all, ALWAYS read up on how to deal with spills, and how to deal with different types, at various temperatures. Then the unit will last for many years. It would be good if Bosch supplied a hard copy instruction book, like Smeg and most others do, and not have to go online to get it, and if you actually want to print it, 32 pages or 16 double sided. For what these cooktops cost, a hard copy manual should be included.

    Great Upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with this cooktop. Heats up super fast, way better than our old gas one. Cleaning is a breeze—just a quick wipe, and it's done. Installation was easy enough, fit straight into our existing kitchen bench. The 80 cm width is just right—not too big, but gives that extra space over a 60 cm model. The extra-large burner is a nice bonus and not something you see often. All in all, a great buy. Would definitely recommend!

Philbo mentions under bench ventilation. My current ceramic cooktop is above my oven. Will this cooktop fit into that space without active ventilation? NannyC · 2022-10-09
Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, yes this will be installed on the top of your benchtop as normal however there may be some small amount of air ventilation required, please have your electrician view the specification sheet attached to this item on our website which covers this for you, I'll attach the specification sheet below: https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/public/manuals/Bosch-PXE875DC1E-Serie-8-Induction-Cooktop-Specifications-Sheet.pdf I hope this information will assist you when shopping here with us at Appliances Online. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
Can I install this cooktop in place of my gas one installed only December 2021 - PPQ7AGB20A - the cutout is a bit more for the induction. I can’t stand the difficult clean of the gas. I am careful and cook for two only but getting it to shine is horrible. Robeen · 2022-06-25
Good Evening, Thank you for this product question yes you are able to install the induction cooktop if you need to have the cutout enlarged and you have a stone benchtop the cutout will have to be done by a stone mason, you will need to have an electrician install a dedicated circuit for the new cooktop with the correct size cable from your switchboard to the new cooktop. I hope this information will assist you when shopping here with us at Appliances online. Colin Jones, Appliances Online
