The 60cm Serie 4 Induction Cooktop from Bosch delivers a superb cooking experience, with effective and innovative features.

The cooking surface offers four cooking zones, each powered by 17 power levels so you can get precise heating. There’s also a PowerBoost function which gives you rapid boiling or heating. Control everything effortlessly with the sleek touch controls at the front of the unit. The timer conveniently switches off the assigned cooking zone after the set time.

For added safety, a child lock will prevent accidental interference of the controls, and residual heat indicators will let you know if the cooktop is still hot the touch. The elegant, attractive design of the cooktop made from black ceramic is easy to keep clean and adds style to any kitchen.
    Efficient induction heating

Because the induction cooking directly heats up the metal in your pots and pans rather than heating the four hotplates themselves, these cooktops are very fast, efficient and safe to use.

    Easy clean ceramic surface

Not only does the surface of this cooktop look great, it's also so easy to keep clean. Spills and splashes can be quickly wiped from the durable glass surface to keep your kitchen looking its best.

    Simple controls

Simply select your preferred cooking zone and increase or decrease the power level with the straightforward touch controls. This includes a timer that can automatically switch off your cooktop after a set period of time.

    PowerBoost mode

Speed up your cooking by activating the PowerBoost mode. This gives you an extra boost of heating power to quickly heat up a large pan or pot of boiling water. When time is of the essence, you can have meals ready in no time.

    Fiddly controls ruin it
liked the cooktop until I actually used it. The more I use it, the more I dislike it. Although there are a couple of shortcuts, overall the controls are quite ridiculously fiddly, distinctly tiny to read and make the cooktop a real disappointment. I had had different induction cooktops before this one. Using the controls was never an issue, and I’ve never come across one as dreadful as the Bosch. I would certainly not have bought it if I’d known (it was impossible at the time to visit and see one) and I will not buy another Bosch because of this fatal flaw. Most cooktops are straightforward and quick: you simply select the cooktop plate, then select the heat level. Want to turn it down, up or off? Easy peasy. Not if you have this cooktop! It has graduated levels all the way from 1 up to 9, with inbetween graduations (think 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 etc. ) Sounds OK? Well If the plate is on 4, say, and you want to go up to 9, you have to stand there pressing the tiny little + over and over and over to move up through every blasted graduation! Want to switch it off? Unless you are only using one plate, again, you are forced to stand there and inch it down to zero in tiny little pushes. 9, 8.5, 8, 7.5…. Stupid! And do not even get me started on how small and hard to see the controls are. Who on earth at Bosch designed it like this? Doesn’t anyone there ever actually cook? Do they know nothing about useability and easiness in controls? Clearly not. Whoever approved this should resign. Right now. I’m getting rid of it it after less than a year of use as it is so frustrating to use. Describing the selection of power levels as easy is completely untrue. Shame on you Bosch.

    Questions & answers

Hi I am interested in this Cook top, does it have the following? Is it Edgeless? Safety feature auto turnoff if it boils over? Digital control readings Power on ie shows as still hot Pause button and keep warm Joanne · 2020-12-19
Hi there, Thank you for your question. This cook top is not edgeless however it does include the safety features and digital control panels you've inquired about. Kind regards, Appliances Online. Bronte, Appliances Online
Hello, one of the reviews above states that the smallest pan that can be used on this cooktop is 22cm. This seems very large. My current induction cooktop takes an 8cm stainless steel espresso machine no problem. Can you confirm smallest pan size? JJ27 · 2020-04-30
Hello, Thanks for you question. According to the product manual (page 7) "The diameter of the pan base must match the size of the hotplate". Also "To achieve a good cooking result, the ferromagnetic area on the base of the pan should match the size of the hotplate" I hope it helps! Danielle, Appliances Online
Choice have rated this cooker 87% overall, with bad point being the control screens are faint. Do you have any information to support or deny this info? Robyn21 · 2018-05-11
Hi Robyn, Interesting comment from Choice, Choice test products how Choice want to test them. The fact that they state that the control screen seems faint i find hard to believe as Bosch put their items through very strict tests, i wonder what rating they would have given Neff or Siemens as these items are produced at the same factory. Others who has purchased this same item have not made this comment or commented on any other touch control cooktop. Being online we do not have a showroom to offer you the opportunity to view the screen, however if this was a issue with their touch control screens more customers would be making the same comment. Thank you for question. colin.jones, Appliances Online
