    Good range hood
    I don’t have ducting to outside so it was imperative to have a recirculating type of range hood that works. So far so good, there are no smells in the kitchen. Hopefully it will be easy to replace the charcoal disks within the next 6 months.

    Strongly recommend, after we installed this kit, no more oil around our range-hood. Saved us lots of time to clean up. It’s a bit tricky to install,just need patience. Overall, very satisfied!

    Hi, do I also need to purchase a grill/vent in order to vent the recirculated air out the top of my bulkhead? I’m not understanding where the recirculated air comes out from. I rang Bosch and they weren’t helpful. John · 2024-08-31
    Hello Thank you for your product question. If you intend to recirculate the returned air back into your kitchen, you will need a vent at the top. An under-eaves vent would be a good idea or a vent with the exhaust vents pointing in one direction facing forward. Please be aware that if you are not able to exhaust the rangehood, excess heat and any smoke will be returned back into the room. The carbon filters will reduce the overall smells, but not completely remove them. Additionally, the carbon filters will need to be replaced every 6 months as an ongoing cost. If you are able to exhaust the rangehood externally, this would be the best option. Even though the cost may be slightly higher, the heat, smoke and cooking smells are exhausted externally, and the carbon filters are then not required.
