The fridge has been the perfect solution for our new family fridge. With young kids that love water and ice the front door self serve is a godsend. Inside the fridge and freezer is working really well so far. Still figuring it all out but plenty of space for a family of four.

The compartments are well thought out — fruit and veg actually last the week instead of turning limp by Wednesday — and it runs so quietly you forget it’s even there. Guests always notice the sleek design, and when the ice and water function is on its best behaviour, it’s a treat. But it’s not flawless. The doors are heavy and need plenty of space to swing open, the stainless steel finish collects fingerprints fast, and the ice-maker can be temperamental. Still, the overall build feels solid and dependable. In short, the KFD96 isn’t perfect, but it earns its keep. It’s a fridge that makes daily life easier and looks good doing it — quirks and all.
