    Features
    • ● Designed for large rooms.
    • ● Completely filters the air in a 51m² room every 12.5 minutes.
    • ● Three-part filtration - the combination Particle + Carbon Filter uses a layer of activated carbon to filter light household odors from pets, cooking, and smoking, while the main particle filter removes airborne particles, like pollen, dust, pet dander, and more.
    • ● Unique combination of electrostatic and mechanical filtration (HEPASilent™ filtration technology). The combination allows use of filters that are less dense and require less air pressure than traditional HEPA filters without a loss in performance - resulting in quieter and more energy efficient air purifiers.
    • ● LED air quality indicator (AQI).
    • ● Energy consumption (4 - 38 W).
    • ● Sound level 23 - 56 dB(A)

Filtering Backburn Smoke In An Apartment
In addition to this Blueair, I also have a Philips 2000 air purifier. The Philips was mainly used for dust and HEPA filtering, but did little for the backburning smoke that Sydney experiences every summer. I have found that Blueair does the opposite, and that it does a good job (if not expensive) job at reducing smoke smells, but does not do much for dust particules (the filter area is smaller). But that's okay, both have their strengths and weaknesses and I do plan on using them in tandem.

    It Works!
Despite spending so much on this air purifier, I was sceptical as to how much difference it would make, but my daughter's asthma was getting worse and I thought it was worth a try. The quality of air in her room now is unbelievable. We have an elderly cat that spends a lot of time in her room, and even the cat odour disappears when the unit is running. I am amazed at the difference.

    Questions & answers

How often does the filter have to be replaced and how much does it cost in $Au. Steve · 2022-06-30
Good Afternoon, Thank you for this product question, the filter would normally be replaced every 6 months the filters are available directly from the supplier through their spare parts division, this part would be about $140.00 RRP.
