Loved this machine, was going well for four years but had an issue that worked out cheaper to buy a new one than repair!!!

Great machine, quiet & washes well with plenty of customisable features to ensure that you can tailor your own personal wash program. Has a tub clean feature & a rinse only cycle along with delay start. Perhaps the only downside to the machine is the intermittent short bursts of water that the machine is programmed to do during the initial filling cycle - the water filling literally starts & stops for 8 x 1 second bursts during the initial fill, followed by 2-3 longer bursts. The initial 8 short bursts is quite harsh on the internal water pipes, causing audible water hammer noise throughout the house. Have contacted LG support but they state that this is a non-changeable feature. I'm not sure why the filling is conducted like this as it provides no discernible advantage to the cycle & is more of an annoyance possibly leading to internal pipe damage over the longer term. Fix this issue, & the machine gets a 5 star rating.

Thank you LG and Applances Online! I purchased this machine around 8 weeks ago and have never been happier to do the washing. Everything comes out beautifully clean and lint free. No tangles either. I have had to start using fabric softener because I like fluffy towels (we don't have a dryer) but I don't need put more than 50% of softener in the dispenser - just a splash. Instructions were easy to follow. Finding the right setting for me was a bit of trial and error because I like to use cold water only but now I've saved my favourite setting and it's just a case of pressing On, Favourite, and Go buttons and 1 hour later it's done to perfection. The speed of the spin is amazing as the items come out requiring very little time on the clothes line. ...again, I couldn't be happier! I have given 4 Stars for Quietness which is probably unfair since I've not had a machine which spin drys so fast before but it's definitely not something you could say is Quiet. Happy to trade that off for the incredible efficiency though. The delivery and installation service from Appliances Online was excellent! It was my first purchase through them. I'll definitely consider future purchases with them! (Please note, I am comparing this new machine to my 18 year old Simpson 6kg top loader which didn't die but is now being used at the family beach house.)
