I really like the expanded cooking surfaces of top left and bottom right: they accommodate larger pots very nicely. One thing that frustrates me is the sensitivity of the electronic controls at the front: when wiping with a wet cloth or if a pot touches the controls the caution "e's" light up and have to be dismissed with a wipe of a dry towel or a resetting of the controls. Other than that I would rate this product highly.

We have had this hot plate for 12 years & it is fabulous. Took me a little while to learn how to use the touch pads and programming, but once mastered I have not looked back. Heat is very easy to control and very quick. I particularly love how easy it is to keep clean...a quick wipe over after dinner (once cooktop has cooled down) and looks sparkling clean in moments. Once a week I clean & buff with special paste & looks as good as new. I also love the flexibility to use the optional sized hit plates. The large rear one is perfect for the roasting pan & gravy making, plus my very large pot used to make to ate relish & jams.

One extendible cooking zone never worked. Two cooking zones had a blowout after 1.5 years. The controls are irritating because they do not respond to wet hands. The cooking zones heat up rather slowly. Quite simply, after1.5 years Ifind myself having to buy a new cooktop.
