Experience A Cup Above, with Original and Vertuo capsule coffee machines

Nespresso OriginalLine

Nespresso has two different lines of capsule coffee machines: OriginalLine and VertuoLine (see below). OriginalLine machines use a high-pressure pump system to make espresso shots, which form the base of every style of coffee drink, from piccolos to cappuccinos.

The OriginalLine range includes the smaller capacity and entry-level Citiz, Inissia, and Essenza Mini/Mini Solo models. Ideal if your coffee of choice is an espresso or long black, and if you have limited space on your kitchen bench, these machines offer simple options and have a small footprint.

The next range within the OriginalLine includes the Lattissima One and its big sibling, the Gran Lattissima. With integrated milk tank and frothing capabilities, you don’t need a separate Nespresso Aeroccino milk frother to make your latte or flat white.

The iconic Nespresso experience

If you’re seeking an even greater choice of coffee styles, the Creatista range includes the premium Creatista Pro with the largest water capacity and advanced capabilities, the Creatista Plus, and the entry-level Creatista Uno. The Creatista range of machines all incorporate steam wands and look like a domestic version of the espresso machine your barista might use in your local cafe.

Nespresso VertuoLine

Rather than the high-pressure pump system used in OriginalLine models, the machines in the Nespresso Vertuo range use centrifugal force to spin the unique Vertuo capsules at around 7,000 rotations per minute while being infused with hot water. This blends the coffee grounds more evenly, extracting a fuller flavour and aroma.

The VertuoLine range includes the Vertuo Lattissima, Vertuo Next and the Vertuo Pop. Depending on which machine you are using, you can make up to six different styles of coffee in a wide range of flavours and intensities. The machines read the barcode on whichever specialised coffee pod you insert to automatically make the perfect cup.

Inspired by Australian café style coffees

At the premium end of the range, the Vertuo Lattissima shares many features and capabilities with the Vertuo Next, but with an integrated milk frother that allows you to make six different styles and sizes of coffee at the touch of a button. The Nespresso Vertuo Pop is a more compact Vertuo model, with a smaller 600ml water capacity and without an integrated milk frother.

Nespresso, Breville and Delonghi

Nespresso machines are made by different appliance makers around the world. In Australia, the Nespresso machine you buy will most likely be made by Australian brand Breville or Italian appliance maker Delonghi. It will bear the logos of both Nespresso and the manufacturer.

For some models, such as the Essenza and the Citiz, both brands make slightly different versions of the same machine. There are other models, however, that each brand specialises in. For the Australian market, Breville makes the Creatista range of machines, while DeLonghi makes the Lattissima models, including the Vertuo Lattissima.

Nespresso, Taste the Difference.

Whether you opt for a Delonghi or Breville Nespresso machine, you can have peace of mind knowing that it’s been designed by the experts in coffee, and built by one of the world’s most established appliance manufacturers.

About Nespresso

The original coffee pod system, Nespresso reinvented the way millions of people around the world make their coffee, with a combination of convenient machines, and portioned coffee capsules.

Created by Nestlé in 1986, Nespresso started life as a deluxe coffee option for workplaces. Quickly gaining a reputation for delivering consistently high quality coffees without the effort and human error you can get with manual machines, or cost of higher end automatic coffee makers, Nespresso soon found its way into domestic kitchens.

Since creating the capsule coffee market, Nespresso has dominated it, offering a continually evolving range of pod espresso machines. Complimenting its OriginalLine range of machines with its innovative VertuoLine range in 2014, it caters to a diverse range of discerning coffee drinkers across Australia, and the globe. Whether you’re an espresso aficionado or a latte lover, there’s a Nespresso machine to suit your tastes and budget.
