Love your clothes for longer

The next step in fabric care from Fisher & Paykel

It makes sense to have laundry appliances that care about your clothes as much as you do

If you’ve ever pulled a jumper out of the washing machine only to find it's shrunk, or noticed your new black jeans fading to charcoal after just a few washes, you’ll know how frustrating it can be. They may have been cleaned, but they’ve been ruined in the process. What’s good for one type of fabric isn’t always good for another.

The good news? Fisher & Paykel's new range of washing machines and dryers is designed to take the guesswork out of laundry by using intelligent technology to help prevent fading, pilling, loss of shape and shrinkage.

Features like auto-dosing, steam refresh and anti-wrinkle finish enhance fabric care
Washing smarter, not harder

The core concept of Fisher & Paykel’s 2026 range is its ‘fibre-led’ approach - treating every fabric type as it should be treated, rather than running everything through the same wash cycle.

The washing machines automatically adjust between warm water and cold water, depending on the garment, and fine-tune drum movement accordingly. A delicate silk blouse, for example, is treated very differently from a pair of linen trousers or a breathable activewear set. The result is clothing, bed linen and towels that are not only thoroughly cleaned, but also properly cared for, so they look, feel and smell better - and last longer.

Key washer features

A few standout technologies appear across the range:

  • Auto Dose stores enough laundry detergent for up to 13 or 21 washes (depending on the model), as well as fabric softener, and dispenses precisely the right amount each time. No more overpouring, which leads to buildup that can damage delicate fabrics, and one less thing to think about on laundry day.

  • Active Mix blends detergent with water before it even touches your clothes, helping it penetrate deep into fibres like polyester that can trap odours.

  • Steam Refresh works like an at-home steamer - ideal for garments that aren't really dirty but could use a freshen up, like a cotton shirt or sweater worn once. A quick steam cycle relaxes wrinkles and neutralises odours without a full hot wash.

Which washer is right for you?

The range spans four series, each building on the last.

Series 5 is the entry point - reliable, quiet, and energy-efficient, with Auto Dose and a Sanitise option that eliminates 99.9% of bacteria using hot water. A solid everyday washer for any Australian home.

Series 7 adds vivid touchscreens and a feature called ActiveIntelligence™, which senses load size and soil level to fine-tune every wash cycle. It also introduces UV Sanitise, which does the same bacteria-busting job with a cold wash at low temperatures - ideal for heat-sensitive, delicate items where a hot wash could cause shrinkage or damage.

Series 9 is built for wardrobes with more variety. Beyond specialised gentle cycles for trickier fabrics like linen and knits, it includes targeted stain removal treatments for things like butter or red wine, often eliminating the need to spot clean. Rather than reaching for bleach or brighteners that can strip colour, the machine lifts marks more carefully, according to both the type of stain and the type of fabric.

Series 11 is the flagship, designed with luxury fibres like cashmere, hemp and lyocell in mind. Intelligent Colour Sensing detects the difference between darks and lights to prevent fading.

Heat pump and anti-tangle technology enable gentle drying and care for delicate fabrics
Precision drying, not just heating

While traditional vented dryers rely on high heat that can damage fibres, heat pump dryers use lower temperatures for gentler drying cycles. Building on this fabric-friendly foundation, Fisher & Paykel’s 2026 heat pump range uses the same fibre-led approach as the washer range to ensure every garment is dried at its ideal temperature.

By using advanced moisture sensing and a temperature range four times greater than previous technology, the new dryers calibrate the cycle to the specific needs of each fibre. This means cottons stay soft and structured, while synthetics like polyester avoid the over-drying that can lead to brittleness.

Key dryer features

The dryer range has a selection of features engineered to protect your wardrobe:

  • 3D Active Sense: (Series 7 and above) Measures moisture both on the surface and deep inside a load to ensure even drying for bulky items like down jackets, helping them retain up to 17% more volume than air drying.

  • Steam Refresh gently reduce wrinkles and odours between washes. Using the perfect balance of moisture, heat and movement, Steam Refresh revives silk without saturating it, preventing fibre swelling that can cause fuzzing or pilling. Garments come out dry, refreshed and ready to wear.

  • Intelligent Temperature System: Precisely controls the drying environment - such as maintaining exactly 40°C for delicate silk or 55°C for luxury cashmere - to preserve the natural sheen, softness, and structure of sensitive fibres.

  • TangleProtect uses an alternating drum motion to keep clothes moving freely at low heat, so sheets don't bunch and your breathable activewear keeps its stretch through every tumble dry cycle.

Which dryer is right for you?

Like the washers, the dryer series offers escalating levels of specialised care:

Series 5 is the entry point, offering reliable, energy-efficient drying with Woolmark Black certification, ensuring your machine-washable woollens won’t shrink or stretch.

Series 7 adds more precise control via vivid touchscreens and specialised item types. It treats denim and towels differently; denim is dried at optimal temperatures to prevent shrinkage and fading, while towels are kept warm and soft.

Series 9 features Woolmark Blue certification, making it safe for even hand-wash-only woollens. It also includes a specialised linen cycle that uses multi-directional drum movements at exactly 45°C to preserve the natural texture and breathable comfort of linen.

Series 11 is the flagship for luxury fibres like hemp and cashmere. For the most delicate items, a folding dry rack allows for motionless drying at 55°C, ensuring that even heat-sensitive keratin fibres in cashmere maintain their natural drape and lightweight warmth.

Series 11 also features the ultimate in wardrobe maintenance - the Fabric Care Cabinet - which uses motionless, friction-free cycles to refresh and dry clothes with warm air at low heat. It is the only appliance in the range safe for leather, and prevents shrinkage without the need to air dry delicate pieces.

The smarter way to dry, with Fisher & Paykel
Matching designs make for a clean and streamlined look in your laundry
Washers and dryers, designed together

Another thoughtful aspect of this range is the way in which the washers and dryers have been designed to work as a pair. Complementary cycles, matching finishes, and a shared design philosophy mean you're getting a genuinely coordinated laundry setup - not just two appliances that happen to sit next to each other.

If you've ever wished your laundry could do a better job of protecting the clothes you care about, Fisher & Paykel may have just made it come true.
