This watch gets a fair amount of criticism, but I think it is a great product. My favourite feature is the built in map functionality. This is especially useful if you load a route and are trying to way find. Having the maps on board makes such a difference, and they work very well. Sure, the battery life could be better when compared to other Suunto watches, but if you adjust battery settings for work outs it pretty good. The watch is beautiful. It would be nicer for everyday functionality if it were smaller (I’m a women and wrist is not large), although then screen functionality wouldn’t be as good. As long as you understand what this watch is geared for, I do recommend buying it.

I looked this watch up as my 2 year old major brand sportswath (not Suunto) started getting tired and wouldn't hold a charge for two days. I chose the Suunto 7 as it is made and designed in Finland. The ease of use is great and due to the 50mm diameter screen, it is easy to read and write on the watch. For some the watch may look bulky, but for me it seems to fit nice and doesn't look stupid, and yes my wrist is only 115mm around at the thinnest point where I keep the watch. Battery life seems to last around 5 days and charges to full in 30min with a 5W charger.
