[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this trimmer to try free from Braun. After three uses of my Braun Beard Trimmer, I have decided a four star review is most appropriated. The trimmer has a bunch of positives, but one big negative. In regards to feel and design, I was very impressed. The trimmer feels good in your hand. It has a nice weight, a good grip, and isn't bulk in any way. The materials it seems to be made of are of high quality and that's reflected in the appearance of the device as well. Its ability to trim a bear is great. It glides through facial hair with no problem, however I found myself only using it on setting "1" and almost wish there was even a shorter length setting. The guard used to do the length setting seemed to match the trimmer in quality and the turnable switch is a nice touch. The biggest issue with the Braun, and its quite a big one, is the ability for it to trim without the guard. All four times I used the trimmer to trim my neck it would either cause a razor burn like rash or, on a few occasions, drew blood. The small trimmer that pops up for quick use is equally useless. On my last use of the Braun, I found myself using it to do the trimming and using a completely different razor in order to trim my neck and underneath my nose. All the attachments and charger are of high quality. So, I would suggest this razor to others for sure, however, I would also warn them of the issue with the unguarded trimmer. Tough call on the rating, probably would have given it a 3.5 if I could have. Hopefully the next generation of the razor will fix the issues. Still, Braun is a brand that gets high ranks overall in my book.

Its a really good beard trimmer, and it does exactly what it says, but you can buy cheaper versions that do the exact same as this, i find this pretty pricey for what you get. However its easy to use and to set up, i did notice that it doesn't have a 2 pin to use in the bathroom, and that where all men tend to shave, as the best mirror and light is always there, standing in my bedroom shaving isn't ideal when i need to shave for work early every morning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Note: I received this trimmer from Braun in exchange for my honest review. I really want to love this cutter and for the most part I do... It cuts well and doesn't bog down in my goatee. The adjustable length guard works well and doesn't pop out of place. The guard is sturdy and strong and doesn't flex so that I get a consistent trim without worrying about a varying cut due to pressure and bending/warping. It does take a couple of passes when trimming after waiting a week or between uses, but again - it doesn't bog down. The battery life is good and I used it multiple times without any noticeable drop in power. The downside - It throws hair everywhere... I've previously used a trimmer with a built in vacuum that really reduced the cleanup on the counter. My fiance hid this trimmer from me after a couple of uses due to the mess it made - but I found it again and have kept using it as it definitely has more power than my last trimmer and makes cutting easier. It's a trade off between more power/or less mess - I'm going to go with more power...
