Smeg dishwasher launch

Dishwashers

On Wednesday 28th September Appliances Online had the pleasure of attending an information night at Smeg’s head office in Banksmeadow.

Years of research and testing have gone into the development of Smeg’s new range of dishwashers, and they’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that they deliver absolutely everything a customer could want. Including:

Water and energy efficiency

Smeg’s latest dishwashers are some of the most efficient on the market. For example, the DWA157B model has a 4 star energy rating and a 5 star WELS water rating, which is utterly fantastic considering it has a very reasonable price tag.

To put this in perspective – the average kitchen sink holds around 25 litres of water, whereas the DWA157B Smeg dishwasher uses only 11.6 litres for an average wash cycle.

Cleanliness

Contrary to popular belief, dishwashers are actually more hygienic than washing in the sink because they reach much higher temperatures.

Smeg 60cm and 90cm dishwashers deliver utterly outstanding wash results thanks to the unique orbital wash arm which is attached to the main wash arm. The orbital wash arm rotates ten times for every revolution of the main arm, covering every single nook and cranny of the dishwasher as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Flood protection

Selected model Smeg dishwashers come with not one, but four anti flood devices.

Noise levels

Most Smeg dishwashers operate at around 39 – 45 decibels, which is lower than normal conversation volume (65 – 70 decibels).

Capacity

Large plates, long-stemmed glasses, oven trays, frypans, pots, rangehood filters, and much more – the innovative racking system inside a Smeg dishwasher allows you to fit just about anything.

Smeg is a proudly Italian company. When Italians cook, they use all the best quality ingredients to ensure that the dish itself is of the highest possible quality. The same philosophy applies to Smeg’s entire range of kitchen appliances – they use the best quality materials to ensure that their products delight, impress, and exceed expectations.

And when Smeg cooks you dinner, you can expect a totally delicious feast! Cauliflower with cheese sauce (pictured) was just one of the delectable offerings the Appliances Online team were lucky enough to sample on Wednesday night. Thanks once again to Smeg for putting on such an entertaining, informative, and yummy evening. Bellissimo!
