Here is a blog about a fridge.

Oh, god, I can almost hear you pitching head-first into your keyboard with the boredom of it all. Think how I feel. I have to write this because Louise asked me to.

Well, hang on there, tiger. Hoist yourself back to the upright position – there you go, easy does it – now I come to look at it, this is actually pretty amaze-balls!

It’s called the Electrolux ETM4200SC. Okay – rather a dull name, we admit. But wait, there’s more.

Firstly, it keeps things cool with much effectiveness … and comes replete with a host of nifty features. These not only serve to be ultra-convenient and very functional – but also sound really cool: “anodised wine caddy”, “Fresh logic deodoriser” anyone?

It’s also guaranteed to make a très chic style statement in your kitchen, darling, with its sexy European styling and mark-resistant stainless steel. Expect this thing to shimmer in your kitchen like a drag queen atop a bus rolling through the outback.

But what really makes this baby standout in the crowd, is its efficiency and all-over environmentally-friendly-funkiness.

Super environmentally friendly

How so, smartypants? Well. For a start, it uses environmentally friendly refrigerant. The catchily-titled R600a has a lower global warming potential than conventional refrigerants.

Meanwhile, with a four-star energy efficiency rating, you will not only be easing the pain on your wallet but on the environment. Which is, after all, in a fairly bung state these days.

How efficient is it? – This fridge is actually in the top 25% of the most energy efficient appliances on the Australian and New Zealand market.

Amongst other stand-out features, our picks include:

• the aforementioned Fresh logic deodoriser, which nullifies strong odours in your fridge. Which, if you’re like us, is fairly useful if you have a taste for storing left-overs for a couple of weeks.

• the slinky easy-glide telescopic runners which provide effortless access to your fridge and freezer.

• and the humidity controls on the crisper. Boring, you might say. Not so, these let you create the ideal storage environment to keep your fruit and vegetables fresh and delicious.

What’s more, we’re currently running a competition in cahoots with the fine people of Electrolux and 1 Million Women … giving you the chance to win one! We’ve got four of these puppies to give away – you’ll find more details here!

There, I told you this wasn’t a boring blog. Check out the video below for more excitement!
