Company News

We’re very excited to announce that all your favourite Breville products are now available at Appliances Online. Breville has been a household name for generations, and their innovative and well-designed small appliances are distributed throughout the world.

Founded in Sydney in 1932, Breville gets its name from founders Bill O’Brien and Harry Norville (O’Brien + Norville = Breville). In the beginning Breville made radios and mine detectors for the war, and then started making ‘Precedent’ television sets in the sixties.

1974 was the year that Breville launched the original sandwich toaster which established Breville as a market leader in small appliances. Many people still refer to toasted sandwiches as ‘Brevilles’ in the same way that some people call vacuum cleaners ‘Hoovers’.

Today Breville keeps breaking new ground with their range of microwaves, blenders, food processors, juicers, bread makers, coffee machines, kettles, toasters, slow cookers, electric woks, deep fryers, steamers, electric cooktops and more.

Breville products are well loved by foodies because they make it possible to create café quality food at home. Plus the Breville Food Thinkers blog gives you yummy recipes and informative videos from food celebrities like Pete Evans, Marian Grasby, and Phil McKnight.

The Appliances Online Team particularly enjoyed watching Will Studd, Australia’s ‘cheese guru’ put a gourmet spin on the humble jaffle.

And you can take a trip back in time with this hilarious old Breville ad.

To whet your appetite, Food Thinkers blog has a recipe archive packed full of inspiring food ideas. Here is their great recipe for a delicious Panini:
