Appliances Online – Sailing in the San Francisco International Regatta

Our Appliances Online 18 Foot Skiff sailing team has just competed in the International Regatta which is sailed on San Francisco Bay. It was a successful campaign for our talented sailing team, finishing 3rd in the regatta and 2nd in the famous Bridge to Bridge race.
San Francisco Bay is renowned as one of the most challenging places to sail in the world. With winds gusting over 30 knots throughout the five day regatta our team certainly had a tough test. The Appliances Online skiff recorded 2 victories in the 10 race regatta culminating in a podium finish.
The highlight of the week for the team was the Ronstan Bridge to Bridge race. A race sailed from the Golden Gate Bridge down to the Bay Bridge, a race sailed all down wind. This unique race is a contest between Windsurfers, Kite Boards, Yachts and 18 Foot Skiffs. Appliances Online Finished 2nd with over 50 other competitors behind. The boat clocked over 30 knots as the boys rocketed past Alcatraz on the way to a fantastic finish.
