Appliances Online Sailing Success in the Northern Hemisphere

Regattas in the Northern hemisphere have proven fruitful for Appliances Online sailors over the past fortnight.
Our Technical Director, Scott Babbage, placed third in the Moth European Championships 2010. Sailing on the snow-fed waters of Sivaplana Lake, St Moritz, Switzerland, Scott raced strongly across the week long regatta. Powered by thermal winds, he was beaten into third place by Australia’s 2008 Olympic Representative Nathan Outteridge and former World Champion, American Bora Gulari. Meanwhile, on the sun-drenched waters of San Francisco Bay our CEO, John Winning, and General Manager, Peter Harris, were joined aboard Appliances Online by Euan McNicol to place second in the ninth annual 18ft Skiff International Regatta. After 11 intense races (including a carnage strewn Bridge to Bridge from under the Golden Gate to the Oakland span) they were a hairsbreadth from taking the trophy. We are just happy to have them back in one piece after their near run-in with the Alcatraz ferry!
