Remember the $1 million gold vacuum we told you about last month?

Well the manufacturer of the GoVacuum GV62711 appears to now be taking a slightly different approach, reconsidering its outrageous $999,999 pricetag and is now accepting offers from interested parties in a bit to increase sales.

“It’s perplexing to me, but as of now we’ve not sold a single vacuum,” creator and vice president of sales and marketing at GoVacuum Justin Haver said (July 30).

“We’ve had some real interest in the vacuum cleaner, but I guess Billionaires are a bit more frugal than I expected.”

According to Mr Haver, the company has decided to have the first one made to not only “shun naysayers that claimed it was a PR stunt” but to also encourage potential buyers to come and test it out.

The upright metal cleaner engraved with whatever the customer wishes, before it is covered 24k gold and fitted with a customer outer bag.

And surprisingly it actually functions – with a powerful 14-inch cleaning nozzle helping to clean even the largest of billionaire mansions.

While it’s an amusing idea, will there be anyone willing to purchase the world’s most expensive vacuum cleaner?

Stay tuned.
