Appliance News Ovens & Cooking

At the recent launch of a new range of laundry appliances from Electrolux, fashion icon Alex Perry showed how the aesthetics of your home can prove every bit as important as the functionality and efficiency of your appliances.

Keeping this in mind, Electrolux has launched a new series of cooking appliances to not just make your kitchen a better place in which to work, but to make it easier on the eyes as well.

Let’s take a look at a few of the standouts:

Ovens

A whole series of fresh new Electrolux wall ovens has hit the market, their stainless steel exteriors creating a shining beacon of modernity in the Aussie kitchen.

In addition to the single wall ovens, there are also double wall ovens for cooks catering to large groups.  Several of these ovens are also pyrolytic self-cleaning models, which make it easy to keep every part of your kitchen looking good.

But our favourites of the lot are the combination cooking appliances, including the Combination Oven/Steam Oven (seen above) and Combination Oven/Microwave.  These versatile appliances provide you with additional options in the kitchen, making them great for home chefs who love to experiment.

Cooktops

No matter your preferred cooking style, Electrolux can offer you a cooktop that does its job well, all the while improving your kitchen’s appearance.

Easy to clean electric cooktops offer precise levels of heat and also help to keep your kitchen tidy, and induction options are also available if you’re prepared to make the leap to electromagnetic cooking (which is quite safe).

But if you prefer to literally feel the heat in the kitchen (assuming you can stand it, and haven’t gotten out of there), Electrolux gas cooktops can deliver quick and simple flame-based cooking.  We’re especially fond of the large single wok burner seen above, which is ideal for use as a specialised high-intensity cooking station.  Combine this with an electric or induction cooktop, and you’ve got everything you need to cook in just about any style you could name.

Rangehoods

All this cooking creates mess, so to keep the kitchen looking its best, you’ll need a rangehood to extract smoke and grease.

Electolux’s new canopy rangehoods are powerful enough to do the job, and great-looking enough to form the centrepiece of a well-designed kitchen.

We’re especially fond of the box-shaped model above – definitely a talking point for the kitchen!

He enjoys looking for new and unusual ways for to solve everyday problems using typical household appliances. When he’s not toiling at the desks of Appliances Online and Big Brown Box, he tries to find time to write the next big bestseller and draw satirical cartoons, but is too easily distracted by TV, music and video games. Mark’s favourite appliance is the Dyson Groom Tool, as he loves the concept of vacuuming your dog. Google+
