Products with the latest state-of-the-art features or a strong advertising campaign can only do so much when it comes to influencing the purchasing decisions of Australians.
Consumers are more aware than ever, and use trust in a brand to help them choose between different products.
The results of the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands 2012 survey are an indication of the importance Australians place on trust, and the 2,468 respondents ranked their favourite brands across a range of categories.
“We also know that consumers are savvy at decoding brand messages and are quick to detect those that suit their lives and lifestyle over those that don’t,” the magazine stated.
This year saw the home appliances category split into two – kitchen appliances and vacuum cleaners.
Yesterday we reported on Dyson taking out the vacuum category, and.after receiving a highly commended award in last year’s survey, Breville was this year named the winner of the kitchen category.
Founded in Sydney in 1932, Breville has long been a staple in Australian households and continues to deliver reliable and innovative appliances to consumers.
From food mixers and kettles to the iconic sandwich press, Breville is one of the largest small electrical appliance manufacturers and Appliances Online stocks a full range of Breville products.
Sunbeam was also recognised for its trustworthiness, receiving a recommendation for the second consecutive year.
