While it may not feel like it just yet, summer is just around the corner. Whether you enjoy feeling the sand between your toes during the day or prefer to make the most of the longer nights by entertaining guests outdoors, the warmer weather means one thing – heading outdoors.

However, eating outdoors often involves extensive planning, hauling food and equipment to your scenic destination

But all of that could change this summer, with Beefeater offering a new way of preparing and enjoying food away from the kitchen.

The barbeque experts unveiled the Beefeater Universal Gas Grill – also known as BUGG – range last night, wowing audiences with the compact design and versatility.

Featuring individually-controlled dual burners, the cooking choices are endless – utilise the grill and solid hotplate options or put the hood down for convection-style cooking.

The lightweight unit also includes detachable shelves and a rust-proof enamel coating, allowing customers to take the BUGG on a boat, to the beach or leave outdoors on a balcony.

According to Appliances Online spokesman Colin Jones, the BUGG range could revolutionise the way Australians think about barbequing.

“A portable BBQ at this price point is a first,” he said.

“They are great value and are going to be one of the hottest items this summer.”

With a long history of providing Australian households with quality barbeques, Beefeater looks set to introduce its iconic grilling system and high heat output to a more portable design.

BUGG will be available through Appliances Online in September, along with a range of accessories including a pizza stone, baking dish, travel bag and natural gas kit.

And although she is adamant she does not say 'fush and chups', she can't deny her continuous use of the term 'sweet as' and her ongoing argument with her team on the correct name for jandals (thongs). One thing is for certain, however, her passion for her kiwi slang is matched with her love for sharing news, hacks and buying tips for all things appliances! Krissy's favourite appliance is the Tefal Cook4Me multi cooker, as she believes it's ok to let an appliance do all the work for you.
