Unless you’re into cricket or tennis, summer television viewing can be a bit of a challenge.

The holiday season is one of the only times of the year that we have the opportunity to relax in front of a big screen TV, so some brands are offering gifts to help enhance your viewing experience.

Samsung + Foxtel

Samsung is offering access to selected subscription television channels thanks to two months of free access to Foxtel on Internet TV.

Up to 30 Foxtel channels – including Nickelodeon, Fox Sports, National Geographic and MTV – are available for viewing when you purchase one of the more than 20 eligible Smart TV models.

Because the channels are accessed via the internet, there is no installation, no additional unit and no lock-in contract required.

The offer is available until January 7.

Panasonic + Quickflix

If settling in for a movie or TV show marathon is more your style, then Panasonic may be able to help you out.

Purchase a Panasonic VIErA SMART TV or Panasonic Blu-ray or HDD recorder before December 31and customers will also receive a bonus three months of Quickflix streaming.

Quickflix offers users access to a library of hundreds of the latest movies and TV shows instantly, including the best from HBO and the BBC.

Sharp + Boxee

If you want to take your media streaming to the next level, the D-Link Boxee Box offered with selected Sharp TV models may be the ideal solution for your home theatre.
