The hard facts

This Delonghi toaster will bring vintage and elegance to all kitchens, thanks to its beautiful design. The CTO2oo3VBG toaster is part of Delonghi’s Icona Vintage range, and features beneficial functions that help make toasting a more delightful experience.

As uninteresting as toast tends to be, we all still opt for the good ol’ toasted bread with jam or vegemite when we’re rushed off our feet in the morning. The general reliance on this appliance to warm (and sometime burn) our bread, means the majority of Australian households own a toaster of some sort.

If this is the case, and if your household is anything like mine, investing in a good toaster can actually be quite valuable.

The CTO2003VBG is not only stylish, but it’s also a great investment. With a one year warranty, and made of the same high quality as Delonghi espresso machines, you know you’re taking home an appliance that will last for years to come.

A match made in heaven

If you’re like me and prefer your kitchen appliances to match, Delonghi has paired the CTO2003VBG with a kettle that’s just as vintage and just as beautiful.

There are also a variety of different colours to choose from in the Icona Vintage range, each with their own matching kettle.

Convenient functions and features that’ll make toasting even easier (like it wasn’t already an easy task)

From the defrost function, to the removable crumb tray; this Delonghi toaster was made with versatility and convenience in mind.

The one side bagel button is perfect for; well you guessed it, bagels. But c’mon, who doesn’t love perfectly toasted bagels?! Add a bit of cream cheese and thinly sliced smoked salmon, and you have yourself a gourmet breakfast that would have cost you an arm in a leg in a café.

Now the extra lift position is definitely one of my favourite features, only because, well as much as I hate to admit it, I’m the type of person who will use a knife to pull out my toast when it doesn’t pop out far enough. I’m sure I’m not the only one either.

With this function I can now pull out my toast without the risk of really hurting myself, or the toaster.

I’ve heard of reheating leftovers, but toast?! I must say though, it definitely is a brilliant idea. How many times have you been rushed off your feet that you forget about your toast, and by the time you realise it’s already popped, it’s cold and not so much enjoyable anymore? This function is perfect for those times.

The verdict

Personally, I love this toaster. It’s stylish, easy to use and does exactly what a toaster is supposed to do, just with a few added functions to make toasting that much easier. It also isn’t packed full with silly functions that we most likely will never use. All in all, the Delonghi CTO2003VBG is definitely a flawless and faultless appliance.
