Emilia gas oven giveaway!
April 10th, 2012
Appliances Online has teamed up with classy Italian appliance maker, Emila, to give away an Emilia gas oven.
Entering the competition is as easy as cooking with gas.
The Facebook entry asks what you would cook with such a snazzy oven and hey presto, you’re in to win.
The 60-centimetre Gas Fan Oven (EMF61MVI) is a little beauty, too. Made in Italy, this oven usually retails for $1,299, although at Appliances Online you’ll be sure to find a better deal. Just give them a ring.
What’s more, it has top of the line features.
It is fan assisted with a closed door electric grill, has electronic ignition, a triple glass door with a full glass inner door (removable for cleaning), a manual timer, light, racks, LPG conversion kit and a 10 Amp connection.
What would you cook in it? Mmm, what wouldn’t you?! Fans and flues ensure fabulous baking, browning and braising.
The modern gas oven is capable of making crisp flaky pastries, or moist muffins or meats. What about Beef Wellington?
Of course having a gas oven in your kitchen will cut ongoing electricity costs and is better for the environment. There are a load of reasons to love cooking with gas.
Entries are due by 20 April so get onto that Facebook page quick smart to be in for a chance to win.
I always love to do a roast so I would cook a roast dinner with all the trimmings then some muffins for my kids 🙂
WOW!! I would have this in our Seniors Hall at Sorrento in Victoria where we do not have a fan forced oven and where I prepare lunch on a regular basis for more than 40 members FANTASTIC!! – Jeanette Lane
I would love to just spend the day baking then a roast and baked vegies for dinner
I would fill the house with the heavenly scent of homemade cakes and cookies thru the day. Then at night the family roast would draw all to the kitchen to admire the good looks of my new Emilia Gas Oven.
My mothers pavlova. have not been able to do it in 15yrs my ovens door feel off and is now pop reverted to keep it closed.. sooo desperate for a new oven. please i would love to have a new appliances.
My old oven has given up the ghost so one of these would be handy. First thing to do is obviously to dry some tomatoes & roast some capsicum, then let the five year old make Pizzas. Ok so the kitchen may looks as though we’ve had a food fight but who doesn’t like pizza?
All meals as gas cooking is so much better than Electric, Had a gas oven a few years ago and I miss it !!!!!!
I love to bake for all my family and the old oven isworn out. I would bake in the new emily gas oven lots of yummy cakes and desserts. ,,a
my family love home made sausage rolls and their roast pork so new gas oven would be absoluely wonderful to have as i have a 30 year old electric oven
I currently don’t have a kitchen as we are half way through building so I’m using our BBQ. Sadly the kitchen will be done last as it’s expensive, so I would love to win this!!!
The thermostat is well out on the oven we have so to cook anything right would be a bonus. But id have to say the old family roast will be the winner when this beauty comes my way ( fingers crossed )
I would cook my family favorite, chocolate self saucing pudding with ice cream. They would love mum. This would look fantastic in my kitchen that we are currently building ourselves.
i would cook everything i could with an EMELIA GAS OVEN its been 2 years now since the last time i used oven cant afford to buy one.
French onion steak with marinated vegetable bake would be the first thing on the menu. A gas oven would be heaven. Meals i would normally cook in the oven i have had to do in an electric frypan, since the oven part of my current stove is hopeless. We are renovating our kitchen ourselves and were unsure what brand to get, hopefully it will be an EMILIA GAS!! Thanks
Wow!!Move over “my kitchen Rules” I would embark on a food cooking frenzy!!Apple cinnamon muffins, or the good ol, apple crumble, the smell is divine, then after the biscuits and scones , I would finish with the wonderful Lamb roast with baked veges……love to own an Emilia oven to fill my home with wonderful aromas of some comfort food this winter!!!! here’s hoping!!!
Perfectly roasted Hoisin-Ginger Chicken
Cakes and pavlovas. Roasts and casseroles.
The Emilia gas oven has perfect temperature control
and is the ultimate range for those who love to cook, for those who are in a hurry, and for those who love to cook in a hurry.
For me, who demands the right recipe of performance and style you can’t beat the Emilia gas oven.
Whatever my family wants for dinner. Lucky they are not too fussy. They eat almost anything. Couldn’t ask for better than that. From fish to roasts and onto desserts, I can only try.
My last gas oven was in 1973 in the UK. Since I have been in Australia I unfortunately haven’t been able to cook on gas. The Emilia would be great for wonderful roasts, casseroles, apple pies etc ..whatever I chose I know it would be done to perfection in an Emilia gas oven.
Jean Restall

An Emilia Gas Oven
Is the one that I’m lovin!
Crackled pork belly with roasted parsnips, pumpkin and carrots followed by a double chocolate creame brûlée
I havent got an oven, like the Emilia gas wall oven, so I’d cook a lamb roast with vegies, not forgetting the wedges, and a cake or two that’s certainly true, so here’s hoping, fingers crossed, that I’m in for a win and not a loss.
I would try and perfect the late Mother-in-laws lasagne.
i would cook up a storm 🙂
not a great cook am I
this oven I’d give away
my dad works hard
mowing lawns all day
his wife, she scrubs and cleans
when she’s home she loves to cook
indonesian, curries and such
they’d invite me over
I’d love it so much
so let me win so I can bless a pair
of awesome parents, and enjoy their lovely fare!
I love to cook everything! I think the first thing I would make would be the perfect (how it could be anything in cooked in this oven) sponge, angel food cake with a homemade strawberry and fresh whipped cream filling cake to go with a delicious Saturday luncheon of roasted honey glazed ham croq monsieur sandwiches and brocolli au gratin, both cooked of course in the beautiful new oven! A gas oven……..my dream!
I would cook my famous braised pork scotch fillet steaks. It won my hubby’s heart over, I’m hoping it wins me a new stove 😉
Hmmmm, definately a pavlova, some cookies with the kids for Anzac day and a lamb roast cooked just the way grandma us to.
Every thing my oven door is bent from little grandchildren
I would cook all my Granmothers recipes that she cooked in a old the Kookabrra gas oven we had in Brisbane
I would cook roast lamb stuffed with garlic and rosemary, with potatoes cooked in cream with garlic salt pepper and nutmeg, and served with green beans.
I love this oven, I have never had a new modern oven, i would cook a nice big roast with roast vegetables, for my 5 kids, for a change I would like the roast to be cooked evenly and to not be over cooked and tough.
we a renovating our house at the moment and the kitchen is the last thing to be done. With the exiting oven, every time I cook it takes so long or I burn everything on the bottom. I don’t think the temp control is working properly. If I was to win this, I would cook a roast pork with extra crackling, roasted potatoes, carrots & parsnips, then followed by dessert of a chocolate self saucing pudding.
I would cook roast beef and veg with Yorkshire pudding and a baked custard tart for dessert, mmmmmmm yum!!
I have not had a working oven for the past two years,so it would be heaven to be able to cook anything I like instead of what will fit in the electric bench top roaster!! Ooohyeah!!!
To test this oven is as good as they say it is, I would cook a roast leg of Australian Lamb with rosemary and garlic in it, accompanied by roast potato’s and roast pumpkin, also a gravy from the lamb juices to top off the roast.
I would test various italian recipes in a brand new oven as mine presently is not capable of doing this.
